We love these bright colourful brooches and necklaces by local artist Twiggd aka Tara McIntosh. Big spotty bows and jewellery inspired by old fashioned tattoos, as well as cute speech bubble brooches. I'm thinking of wearing the grrrr! brooch on bad days!

I found this old photo of from the early 1900's of Warrender Park rd here  I think we are on the left as far as i can tell...I might be wrong. I love seeing how places looked all that time ago..looks a lot different from today. I think I would much prefer to look out on to horses and carts trotting by. Instead today workmen are rather noisily digging up the round across the road. Scotlands Places is also a great site for finding old town photos (found via Analogue books)

We went to the Glasgow trade fair back in January and met lots of lovely new designers and makers, including jewellery maker Mark Powell and artist/illustrator Xiao Chang who have teamed up as Studio Eligius to create beautiful silver jewellery. We recieved a package on Saturday from Mark full of gorgeous earrings, necklaces and brooches. Heres a few to swoon over...prices start from £40.

A smiley postman delivered this nice package filled with treats from the aptly named Lovely Pigeon today! the earrings and are already proving a hit with the customers. Lots of lovely comments about them and one person snapped up a pair before I could even get a price label on them. I've got my eye on a pair of the earrings!
