These brilliant illustrations are by Edinburgh College of Art MFA student Holly Sterling We're currently stocking her cards, mugs and brooches.

Our next featured artist is Marchmont favourite Kittie Jones. Here's a sneaky peak at what to expect. You can see Kittie's work in the gallery from Wednesday 12th September, with screen prints, mono prints, cards and tea towels for sale.

These beautiful earrings and pendants are made by Leigh Shepherd designs. The earrings are made from six penny pieces and the pendants from wooden scrabble tiles, making each one individual. Local illustrator Fiona Purves has launched her own business Paper Aeroplane. She dropped off some lovely new cards and prints last week. Have a look at her full range here

Here's a few snaps of our freshly painted gallery together with Mina Braun and Rosie Walter's work as our featured artists during August. We've been hard at work all week painting, sanding, and moving furniture around. Pop in and see what you think!

Our featured artists for August are Marchmont regulars Mina Braun and Rosie Walters. They are firn favourites here at the gallery and we're looking forward to having their lovely prints brightening up the gallery!Their work features imagined cities and landscapes to delve in to and explore. Each image tells a story in a world populated by a variety of animals, machinery, birds, divers and trees.

These cute creations are by Katherine Hayes and we have a large selection of different animals in earring, hairslide and badge form. Pop in and get some super cute accessories! You can see more of kat's creations on her etsy shop, Rat Kat Bean here.

We've got some lovely woodcut prints by Edinburgh illustrator James Albon in the gallery. James has just graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and his work was one of our favourites in the illustration degree show. You can see more of his work on his website or pop in to the gallery for a look at a selection of prints we have.

Jess Bradley

Next week we are excited to begin showing the lovely linocuts that are the handiwork of local artists Jess Bradley. Jess is inspired by nature and the prints we will be exhibiting capture a wide range of British wildlife from Puffins to Woodpeckers. They are all printed by Jess on her very own printing press at her home in the Scottish Borders.

Gerry Gapinski's dark and brooding prints evoke a Burke and Hare era Edinburgh full of fog and dark goings on. They are available here in the gallery and soon to be shown in the Earl of Marchmont pub. They are proving popular with the locals who seem to have an affinity with the darker side of edinburgh life.

These lovely bold prints are new from local Edinburgh artist Hipster Spinster The peacock is currently brightening up our window along with a wise old owl.

One of our favourite artists Eleni Kalorkoti is leaving the cold behind and heading for the sunnier and more exciting climate of Paris in a week or so...lucky her! She has a mega sale in her online shop before it closes indefinately so head over there for a bargain. Alternatively we will still be stocking birdy cards and prints so pop in to the gallery for those.
